Strains

The Alternative Wellness Center grows an average of 15-20 different strains. The focus is on quality versus quantity. Every strain found on our display shelf is high grade medicinal cannabis. A minimum 80% of the our strains are grown in the our own grow facility. The remaining 20% are acquired from other licensed centers in order to provide additional variety. Our internal 3-step Quality Control System insures that all meds are free of mold and infestation.

Sativa

These THC dominated strains are most effective for boosting the immune system, relieving tension headaches, bone stimulation, and increased appetite. THC is the most well known and psychoactive of the cannabinoids.

Hybrid

Hybrid strains have been crossed with both sativa and indica strains and contain the best of both worlds. Hybrids are typically sativa or indica dominant.

Indica

Indica strains are CBN, CBD, and CBG dominant and are most effective for treating musculoskeletal ailments, pain, inflammation, nausea, high blood pressure, and anxiety. Indica strains tend to have a more relaxing effect, whereas sativa varieties tend to create a “high” or euphoric state.
